🚗 Target Weekend Events — Check for September 13

Target hosts weekend in-store events that can include live demos, activities and giveaways. The graphic lists a FREE Hot Wheels event on September 13 from 12–4 PM, but I wasn’t able to independently verify those specific Hot Wheels details on Target’s current public event page, so check the official Target event page/local store before heading out.

🏞️ BONUS: FREE National Park Entrance — September 17

Save this one for later in the week! The graphic has this listed for September 12, but the National Park Service’s official 2026 calendar lists Thursday, September 17 — Constitution Day as the September fee-free entrance day. For 2026, the NPS says these designated free-entrance days are free for U.S. citizens and residents; other fees, such as reservations or timed-entry fees, may still apply.

There are some really cute options this weekend, and the Lowe’s, Michaels and JCPenney activities could easily make for a full morning of free family fun. I’d register or double-check your local store before leaving home since supplies and participation can vary by location.
