Looking for a fun FREE activity for the kids? The Home Depot has several Kids Workshops coming up, including Halloween and holiday-themed builds!

The Home Depot Kids Workshops are free, hands-on in-store events where kids can build their own project and take it home. Home Depot currently says its free Kids Workshops are held from 9 AM–12 PM, with supplies available while they last.

Here are the upcoming projects to mark on your calendar:

🎃 October 3, 2026 — Witch Candy Box

Kick off spooky season by building a colorful Witch Candy Box! Home Depot’s local store pages currently confirm the October 3 workshop and describe the project as a witch candy box.

🚚🎄 November 7 & 21, 2026 — Dump Truck + Christmas Car Ornament

November brings two fun builds! Kids can make a Dump Truck and a festive Christmas Car Ornament. Check the registration page for the workshop offered at your participating store and available dates.

🚂 December 5, 2026 — Holiday Train

Get into the Christmas spirit with a Holiday Train build! This adorable project is perfect for a little holiday crafting and family time.

🕹️ January 2, 2027 — Claw Machine Bank

Start the new year with a Claw Machine Bank kids build — a miniature claw-machine-inspired project that doubles as a bank.

Registration is FREE, but these workshops can be popular and project kits are available while supplies last, so I recommend registering ahead of time. Home Depot’s official Kids Workshop page currently directs families to register for the free in-store workshops.
